Ronaldo Says His Dreams Of Winning The World Cup Are Over

Following Portugal’s emotional 1-0 loss to Morrocco on Saturday, Christiano Ronaldo took to social media to hint that his chase for the World Cup Trophy might be officially over.

Ronaldo left the pitch in tears after his team was eliminated from the quarterfinals pushing him to post on social media that his run with the team might be over after 16 years.

“There’s no point in reacting rashly,” Ronaldo wrote on Instagram.

“I just want everybody to know that a lot has been said, a lot has been written, a lot has been speculated about, but my dedication to Portugal has never wavered for an instant.

“I’ve always been just one more (Portuguese) fighting for everyone’s goal. I would never turn my back on my teammates or my country.”

Ronaldo, who is the all-time leading scorer in men’s international soccer with 118 goals, said putting Portugal “on the highest level in the world” was his biggest dream. It was his firth appearance.

“Leave it all out on the field. I never turned my face to the fight and I never gave up on that dream. sadly yesterday the dream ended It’s not worth reacting to heat.

“I just want you all to know that much has been said, much has been written, much has been speculated, but my dedication to Portugal has not changed not for a moment. I would never turn my back on my colleagues and my country.

“Not much more to say for now. Thank you Portugal. Thank you Qatar. The dream was nice while it lasted… Now, it’s hoping that the weather will be good advisor and allow each one to draw their own conclusions 🙏🏽 ❤️ 🇵🇹”
