Kenyan actress Lupita Nyong’o recently surprised a bunch of local divers at Forodhani beach in Zanzibar after they jokingly dared her to join them.

The group, led by popular Instagrammer Jamal, shared a video two weeks ago inviting the Hollywood actress to join them in diving into the ocean. The boys, who have experience in the dive, normally do it for fun in the Indian ocean.

They asked their followers to tag Lupita in the video until she saw it and, much to their amazement, the Oscar award winner actually showed up!

Jamal, who led the dare and request, was more than overjoyed when Lupita showed up.

“My heart is still smiling. Many Thanks for all [the] people who [are] supporting us…you guys are the best. Every time you guys make things possible for us. I don’t know how to thank you guys enough,” posted Jamal.

Other than surprising Jamal at Zanzibar, the Lupita is believed to be in Tanzania to film a documentary. Lupita is among the many names Jamal and the other boys have dared to visit Zanzibar for the jump.
