A Halloween costume from Conor McGregor’s mother has turned back to haunt him after many slammed the family for being racist.
The UFC megastar shared a series of photos to his Instagram page documenting his and his family’s costumes and many weren’t happy with how his mum Margret had dressed.
The mum was pictured wearing dark face paint and a red dress. McGregor’s sister, Erin, shared another picture that showed her wearing a necklace with three skulls on it.
The dress also features a piece of animal print cloth across the front and bones along the neckline.

The photo angered many on social media who claimed it was racist. Mc Gregor’s management, however, released a statement explaining the photo saying that the photo shouldn’t be misinterpreted to mean anything else.
“The McGregor family loves Halloween. Mrs. McGregor had spiders painted on her face since her costume was a ghoul risen from the grave. Any other interpretation was just wrong and truly unfortunate.”
McGregor was dressed as Frank Abagnale, a con artist played by Leonardo DiCaprio in 2002 smash-hit Catch Me If You Can.
