The Astonishing Way Which Brazilian Player Hulk Loses 5 Kilos After Every Match

He Is A Tank

While many of us are struggling with shedding excess weight from our bodies, Brazilian footballer Hulk loses up to 11lbs after playing in a 90-minute game.

After 15 years abroad, Hulk finally returned to his native Brazil this year, signing for Atletico Mineiro.

His astonishing weight loss over 90 minutes has been explained by Roberto Chiari, who analysed that the 34-year old can shed up to 5 kilos in pure sweat after each game.

Because of this, Hulk needs to pay extra attention to hydration because of his incredibly high metabolism.

“He sweats a lot, that doesn’t mean he is bad,” said Chiari, per talkSPORT.

“In fact, the athlete who sweats a lot uses the most efficient mechanism of dissipating body heat, which is through sweating. This sweat, when it evaporates, allows the athlete to lose body heat in a more efficient way. So, losing many pounds by dehydrating through sweating is not the problem.

Needless to say, Hulk loses a lot of weight as a result of the training sessions, but his physio and bosses are not overly concerned so long as he bounces back through proper hydration.

“Perhaps due to the efficiency of our masseuses that are always there offering hydration. But to be sure of that, we have to encourage hydration after training.

“And the next day he comes back with the same weight he had before training. It’s a matter of being able to take everything well and he ends up not having any damage,” Chiari added.
